Why should I choose Search! Tuition over other agencies? |

By registering with us, your online profile can be accessed and viewed by both our own students and also 3rd party agencies and coordinators. If you accept an assignment from us, you will NOT be charge any commission, and such direct tutor-student/parent system allows both parties to understand each other's expectations before any commitment is made. You may choose to accept assignments from 3rd party agencies and coordinators, cutting down your waiting time to land an assignment. |

Tutors who register with us will be given a Basic account. The free account entitles the tutor to a free online profile that can be accessed by any user.
For tutors who would like better chances of landing assignments in possibly a more cost-effective manner, they can upgrade to our Premium account. On average, our Premium Account tutors receive 5 - 10 MORE ENQUIRIES a month as compared to our basic account tutors. |

What are the benefits of the Premium Account? |

With 2000+ tutors in our database, every single differentiation you have will set you apart from the rest. Our premium account is specially created for tutors who would like to land assignments fast and cost-effective. The benefits include Preference listing of profile, Ability to key in More information about yourself, and Contact Number visible to users (compared to just email add for basic account). |

How does the Rating System /Comment System work? |
| |
The rating/ comment system is made available for parents who would like to rate a tutor's performance. All ratings and comments will be screened and vetted at our discretion before they get posted. |

Do I have to show my certificate(s) to parents? |
| |
We recommend that you bring the required certificate(s) to the first meeting/lesson, especially if parents/students have requested to see them. |

What happens if I could no longer commit to my tutoring work? |
| |
Please give the parent/student at least 2 weeks notice in advance. We're sure you are a responsible tutor who would like your tutee to find a replacement tutor before you go. |

How long does it usually take to land an assignment? |
| |
This depends on a number of factors such as the availability of assignments and the tutor's repute.
Our system is designed to work on a high-volume assignment traffic. Currently, we do not have the statistics to give you a more definitive set of information, but once we do, we will make it available for your reference.
We also recommend that you take care in enhancing your profile, as tutors' profiles are what parents and students rely on to search for suitable tutors. |

I have waited for a long time, yet I have not received any assignments. What should I do? |

Have you filled up all fields in your profile? Tutors' profiles are what our search engines and parents/students go through first. The more detailed you are, the higher your the chances of being shortlisted. If you are really urgent in wanting to land an assignment, you might want to consider upgrading from your basic account to our premium account |

How do I prepare for the interview? |

Tell me more about the interview process |

If you are shortlisted by a student, you would receive an email on the student's particulars, while the student would receive your contact information. From there, we advice you to fix a date and time with the student to have the proper interview, which would allow yourself some time to prepare. |

I'm worried that I cannot present myself well at the interview. |
| |
Our advice is for you to treat the interview as an ordinary conversation. It helps to be honest and truthful when you answer questions asked by parents/students.

Are tuition fees negotiable? |
| |
Yes. Fees are for you to negotiate with the student. |

I thought there's no commission involved. Why are people calling me up and asking for 50% commission? |

These calls are usually from external tuition coordinators/tuition agencies. We hope you understand that it is hard for us to stop them from using the database. However, we are in the process of implementing a separate system for these external coordinators/agencies such that inconveniences to our tutors can be kept to a minimum. |

Is the online payment system secure? |
| |
We utilize the services of PayPal in our online transaction. PayPal is an established online payment gateway. |

What are the types of payment you accept? |

We accept credit card payment (via paypal transaction gateway, but do note that it is NOT required of you to have a paypal account), and bank transfer |
