1.     Terms

1. Search! Tuition (hence referred to as Search! Tuition) provides a database of tutors for parents, students, 3rd party tuition coordinators and agencies (hence referred to as Customers) to choose from.
2. Search! Tuition provides services to you, which are subjected to the following conditions stated in the remainder of this document.
3. If you visit or use Search! Tuition services, you accept these terms and conditions.

2.     Copyright

1. All content and graphics on this site belong to Search! Tuition and re-use of the materials without prior permission from Search! Tuition is prohibited.
2. The materials from this site are available for informational and non-commercial uses provided the content and/or graphics are not modified in any way.
3. If you wish to use the materials for commercial purposes, please request for permission here via (email address), otherwise, no part of the site may be reproduced, transmitted or downloaded and saved.

3.     Links

1. Search! Tuition may provide links to other World Wide Web sites or resources. As Search! Tuition has no control over such sites and resources, you acknowledge and agree that Search! Tuition is not responsible for the availability of such external sites or resources, and does not endorse and is not responsible or liable for any content, advertising, products, or other materials on or available from such sites or resources.
2. You further acknowledge and agree that Search! Tuition shall not be responsible or liable, directly or indirectly, for any damage or loss caused or alleged to be caused by or in connection with use of or reliance on any such content, goods or services available on or through any such sites or resources.

For Tutors Giving Tuition

1.     Registration

1. Tutos who sign up for the basic account will not be charged an account fee while tutors who signed up for a premium account are charged a subscription fees. Search! Tuition reserves all rights to refuse your application.
2. Registration requirements:
   1. You must be a Singaporean, Permanent Resident or hold a student pass.
   2. You must be at least 18 years old.

2.     Tutor Account

1. You will receive an account designation upon completing Search! Tuition's tutor registration process.
2. Your account is identified by a unique Tutor Id.
3. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account and password and for restricting access to your computer, and you agree to accept responsibility for all activities that occur under your account or password.
4. You agree to
   1. Immediately notify Search! Tuition of any unauthorized use of your password or account or any other breach of security, and
   2. Ensure that you exit from your account at the end of each session.
5. Search! Tuition cannot and will not be liable for any loss or damage arising from your failure to comply with the terms.
6. Search! Tuition reserves the right to refuse service, remove or edit content, or terminate accounts.
7. Tutor whose account has been closed are not allowed to register again.
8. Tutors with an account under Search! Tuition might be approached by 3rd party tuition coordinators and agencies for assignments independent of Search! Tuition. In this case, Search! Tuition is not responsible for any resulting negotitions, conflicts, unhappiness, payment problems or whatsoever that might arise.

3.     Tutor Profile

1. You understand that you are to fill in all personal information as accurately as possible and will not attempt to mislead customers using Search! Tuition's services.
2. You understand that all information, data, text, photographs, graphics, messages or other materials ("Content"), whether publicly posted or privately transmitted, are the sole responsibility of the person from which such Content originated.
3. This means that you, and not Search! Tuition, are entirely responsible for all Content that you upload, post, email, transmit or otherwise make available via www.searchtuition.com
4. You are not allowed to post contact details in your tutor profile. Failure to comply will lead to the termination of your tutor account.

4.     Qualifications and Certificates

1. You are to:
   1. Fill in your qualifications and results as accurate and complete as possible.
   2. Present your certificates of qualification on the first lesson to the parent. Failure to do so might result in the termination of your service.
2. Search! Tuition reserves the right to request copies of your original certificates for verification.
3. Search! Tuition reserves the right to change the rating scheme to better meet the needs of customer.

5.     New Request

1. Search! Tuition makes a list of current requests available to you online.
2. You can indicate your interest in the tuition request but being shortlisted for assignment is subjected to the customer's requirement and preference.

6.     First lesson and Assignment

1. Parents and/or 3rd party tuition coordinators and agencies who have identified you as their preferred tutor might call you up for an interview at their own discretion.
2. The assignment might or might not be given to you depending on the will of the parents and/or 3rd party tuition coordinators and agencies and not Search! Tuition.
3. Search! Tuition is not responsible for the contents of the interviews conducted.
4. The frequency, timing, pay of the tuition services ( This list is not exhaustive) rendered are determined by the Customer and Tutors only. Search! Tuition is not liable for any agreements made by the Customers and the Tutors.

7.     Cancellation of assignment

1. There is no contract between you and the customer and there is no commitment to complete a fixed number of lessons.
2. The Customer can stop the tuition services at any time.
3. There might be a trial lesson depending on the agreement set between the Customers and the tutors.

8.     Commission/ Registration Fees

1. Search! Tuition will not collect any commission from either the Customer or the tutors in any assignments.
2. Tutos who sign up for the basic account will not be charged an account fee while tutors who signed up for a premium account are charged a subscription fees. 
3. This subscription fee for premium account holder will only entitle the tutor’s profile to take priority over basic account holders in our database for 3 months. Thereafter, tutors will have to pay the subscription fee if they still wish to enjoy priority listing in our database.
4. Payment can be made via PayPal or ATM transfer
5. Search! Tuition reserves the right to de-list any tutors from our database without refund of registration fees and/ or payments of the tutors as we deem fit.

9.     Conduct of Tutor

1. Although Search! Tuition has no jurisdiction over the conduct of the tutors; however, we take feedbacks from our Customers seriously. Tutors who displayed poor conduct will get de-listed from the database.

10.     Reservation of Rights to Terminate Account Holders

1. Search! Tuition reserves the rights to teminate account holders using its own discretion.

Customer Requesting for Tutor

1.     Tutor Database

1. Search! Tuition attempts to be as accurate as possible in our presentatio of information. However, Search! Tuition does not guarantee that the description of the tutor is accurate, complete, reliable, current, or error-free.
2. Search! Tuition provides the tutor database for online sorting and filtering as it is.

2.     Tuition Rates for Normal Tutors

3.      The rates for tuition assignments are dependent on the negotiations between the Customer and the tutors. Search! Tuition is not accountable for any rates quoted by both the tutors and the Customers.

3.     Place of Tuition

4.      The assigned tutor will teach at the residence of the customer by default unless otherwise indicated by you and you are to provide a reasonable environment for the conduct of lessons.

4.     First Lesson

1.      You are required to check the credentials and certificates of the tutor on the first lesson if the scanned copy is not available on our site.

2.      It is your responsibility to ensure that the tutor's credentials and qualifications are satisfactory.

5.     Termination of Service or Change of Tutor

1.      Search! Tuition only provide the contacts of the tutors in their database and shall bear no responsibility whatsoever for the conduct any tutors in its database.

2.      Parents can terminate the service of their tutors or change their tutors as they deemed fit without informing Search! Tuition.

Tuition Rate

1.      Tuition rates are determined by the parents and tutors.

6.     Service Provided

1.  Search! Tuition does not guarantee improvements in the tutee's grades.

7.     Information Declared by Customer

        1.      Search! Tuition does not guarantee the information declared by the Customer. However, should incorrect information be detected by Search! Tuition, Search! Tuition reserves the right to terminate the account. 

        2. Customers may not at any time, solicit for external businesses in their information declaration. Should such instances be discovered,  Search! Tuition reserves the right to terminate the account. 

      8.     Reservation of Rights to Terminate Account Holders

        1. Search! Tuition reserves the rights to teminate account holders using its own discretion.
